Today was a beautiful day.  The weather was a little nippy at 57 degrees and there was a cold wind but, the sun could not have shown brighter.  We went to R.O. Ranch Equestrian Park for their ground breaking ceremony.  We enjoyed a wagon ride touring a small area of the new trails.  Then we were able to attend the ground breaking ceremony then off to the actual site of the soon to be Welcome Center where we were able to participate in the historic photo.  There were many political people from the SRWMD, Lafeyette County Commission and other local politicians.  The guest speaker was Tom Seay the host of Best of America by Horseback.  It was a very neat experience.  I have to admit the horse itch is incredible.  I am trying to remind myself over and over how much time and $ are needed to properly care for an animal as huge as a horse.  Here are a few pics of our day.

The lady riding next to Aubrey saw her walking sadly horseless.  She asked if Aubrey would like to ride on one of her horses for the “historic picture”.  Surprise!  Aubrey said “Yes, Ma’am!”  The first picture shows her clearly laughing at a funny noise one of the mules made.  The second to my great sorrow is blurry however, the incredible joy on my daughters face is priceless blurry or not :-)

These last 2 are… first Joshua and Max examining some very cool bones they found.  The second pic is of some of the people, including the photographer, as we get last second picture instructions.
