Have I mentioned that our new Great Pyrenees LGD (Livestock Guard Dog) is awesome? In case I have neglected to do so - Badger is AWESOME! Let me set the scene. Badger is out in the pasture enjoying some quiet (sleeping) when I decide it is a good time to go out and give him a brushing. I had my camera on me because our new kid goats were out there with Aubrey earlier and I was taking their picture. Anyway, off I go to spend some quality time with MY dog, Badger. The kid goats noticed me and followed me. I sat down on the ground and Badger heaved himself up to come visit with me. I began to groom him, he relaxed, I however, am being jumped on and nibbled at by the kid goats. When I am finished with Badger he gets up, walks a little way off, and lays down to resume his nap. That is when I got mischievous. Knowing the kids would follow me I turned on the video option on my camera and walked just past Badger. Heeheehee sure enough they began to follow until they were distracted by the huge mountainous white playground, aka Badger. First check out the still photos then please go see the video of the goats approaching Badger as he “sleeps” peacefully. Poor guy, you just have to feel for him.
