Overdue post

Tuesday kicked off my favorite week of the year, Holy Week.  Tuesday night the brilliant, Deacon Zmuda presented for us the Passover Meal.  We enjoyed learning, tasting, and seeing the many very Catholic symbols throughout the mini-meal.  We finished with a potluck and lots of great company.

On Wednesday we made our annual pilgrimage to St. Augustine for the Chrism Mass.  I always look forward to this very special Mass.  Seeing all those priests, hearing all their deep manly voices saying the words of consecration in unison, wow, it is an experience of a lifetime and yet my children and I are fortunate enough to be able to witness this powerful moment each year.  Arguably, and rightly so, everyday should be so powerful at Mass.  When Father standing in the place of Christ says the words of consecration and through the work of the Holy Spirit mere bread and wine are transubstantiated into the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, this moment should always give me goosebumps, but I am human and often distracted.  Today we are headed off to morning Mass.  It is my prayer that the same feeling of awe that I experience at the Chrism Mass, and during Holy Thursdays Mass and even during the Veneration of the Cross on Good Friday will be granted to me today and every day that I am fortunate enough to be there present at the foot of the Cross surrounded by Heaven at the Mass.

This post was suppose to be longer, but my dad has complained that I am taking to long to update my blog :-P so instead of continuing to write I am just going to put up the important stuff…the pictures.  You may notice Aubrey is not in any of the pictures and yet I listed her in the categories section.  Why?  She was the photographer :-)  Also, there are no Easter pics :-(  My camera was MIA so I videoed with my old video Camera.  I have not had a chance to put it onto a DVD to then put on youtube to then post on here.  Just trust me watching all of Jessica’s children and mine run around finding the eggs was very cute.  Jessica has a nice picture of her kids all dressed up for Easter Mass on her blog.
