Following the Star

Yesterday at Mass, Fr. Sebastian spoke about how we, today, can follow the Star to the Jesus. Jesus’ physical presence is not limited to the 33 years of His life between His conception/incarnation and His Sacrificial death on a cross for our redemption.  Jesus is physically present today.  All we must do is follow the star, the light of the Sanctuary, where it glows red like the fire of the burning bush and leads us as the Star lead the 3 wise-men, magi, kings to Jesus, alive and present for us today in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. We find that star, the sanctuary lamp, leading us to Jesus Christ.  He is there as real and present as He was the moment the 3 Wise Men laid their eyes upon Him, body, blood, soul, and divinity.  All of our Lord Jesus Christ is there in the Tabernacle hidden under the appearance of bread and wine.  Unlike the wisemen who saw Him with their eyes, we must look upon our hidden Lord with the eyes of faith, trusting, as a little child the words of our Lord “I am the Bread of Life” and “I will be with you until the end of time”

So, this week regardless of whether or not you have fully embraced Christ’s church, go find a Catholic church and spend time in Christ Jesus’ physical presence.  If you are very fortunate, a Parrish near you may have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, if not, it is equally valuable to spend time in Adoration of our Lord present while He is within the Tabernacle.  May God bless you and bring you closer to Him daily.  Happy Feast of the Epiphany! Our Lord Jesus has been revealed to the world!
